Why protected galleries sell

When the proof can't be screenshotted, the download is worth buying.

A sales gallery only works if the previews aren't already good enough to keep. With most galleries, clients screenshot the proofs and the order never comes.

ProofProtect previews are full-screen and sharp for the viewer, but screenshots and screen recordings come back black and every image carries the viewer's email. The only clean copy is the one they pay for.

Clients add photos to a cart right from the gallery and pay by card or wallet. If they arrived without an account, one is created for them at checkout so their purchases are always waiting for them.

Once payment lands, buyers download the untouched high-resolution originals — not the watermarked proofs. You're notified of every sale, and print orders appear in your store dashboard ready to ship.

Payments & tax

Your sales, paid to your own account.

Sales are charged on your connected Stripe account, so you're the seller and the money is yours. Stripe's standard processing fees apply; ProofProtect adds no commission on top.

Sales tax, VAT and GST can be calculated automatically based on your own tax registrations. Sell in AUD, USD, GBP or EUR.

Does ProofProtect take a commission on photo sales?

No. Sales are processed on your own Stripe account and ProofProtect takes no cut. You pay Stripe's standard processing fees and your normal ProofProtect plan.

Can clients buy prints as well as digital downloads?

Yes. You can sell prints and other physical products in the sizes and options you define. Orders show up in your store dashboard and you fulfil them through your own lab or supplier.

Do buyers get the full-resolution files?

Yes. After payment, buyers download the original high-resolution files you uploaded — not the protected, watermarked proofs.

Can I include some downloads in my session fee?

Yes. Create a $0 package such as "10 included downloads" and clients can claim it from the gallery without going through payment.

Which countries can sell through ProofProtect?

In-gallery selling depends on Stripe payout support and our own rollout, so it isn't available everywhere yet. Proofing and screenshot protection work for photographers in every country.
